Hershey

Hershey is a 9-year-old mixed-breed boy with a story that tugs at the heartstrings. He may not be the flashiest dog in our kennels, but what he lacks in looks he more than makes up for in resilience, sweetness, and love.

When Hershey first came into our care, he was in very poor condition - underweight, missing fur, and covered in lumps. It was clear life hadn't been kind to him. Thanks to lots of veterinary care, patience, and endless TLC, Hershey has made an incredible turnaround and is now ready to find the loving home he has always deserved - one where he can continue his recovery and truly flourish.

From day one, Hershey has shown nothing but affection toward our kennel staff. Despite everything he's been through, his big heart never faded, and his love for humans shines through in every interaction. He's a bubbly, sweet boy with a surprising zest for life and a gentle way of reminding you just how special senior dogs can be.

Hershey can be a bit of a tough guy when he sees other dogs through a fence and may bark, but we believe he has lived with another dog in the past and could do so again with the right match, pending a meet & greet. That said, he'd also be perfectly content being the centre of someone's world and soaking up all the love for himself.

As for his breed - your guess is as good as ours! His microchip says American Staffy, but perhaps there might be a little Husky here, a splash of Lab there... whatever the mix, the end result is a total love bug.
