Meet Missy – small in size, big on personality (and opinions!).

At 12 years young, Missy is a 5.2kg Fox Terrier who proves that age really is just a number. Don’t let her senior status fool you — this little lady still lights up at the sight of her walking harness, enjoys her daily strolls, and delights in the occasional joyful zoomie, especially when her favourite humans are nearby.

Missy would be best suited to an only-dog home, where she can soak up all the attention for herself. She thrives on human company and is looking for someone who is home more often than not — ideally an active retired couple or a work-from-home adopter. Full-time away-from-home work wouldn’t suit Missy, as she loves being part of the day-to-day action.

And yes… Missy loves to chat! She’s a vocal little soul who likes to share her thoughts, particularly when she’s excited (don’t we all!). Her chatter is very much part of her charm and personality.

For her age, Missy is wonderfully energetic and would enjoy gentle adventures, leisurely walks, and a predictable routine with her people. When the day winds down, her favourite place is right beside you — curled up on her cushion on the couch or tucked under the covers in bed, where snuggles are absolutely non-negotiable 💖

Missy travels beautifully in the car and is always happy to tag along on coffee runs or little outings. She confidently uses a dog door and toilets independently during the day, though she does still rely on puppy pads overnight.

On lead, Missy can be reactive to dogs and people and may bark when she’s feeling unsure. With a patient, understanding owner who has the time to give her a little extra guidance and reassurance, this is something that can be worked on and managed well.

Missy is searching for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe, adored, and included in everyday life — with someone who appreciates a sassy, snuggly, chatty little companion by their side.
