About Todd
Todd Requires the following in his new home.
- A home with a desexed medium sized female dog who enjoys playing just as much as Todd does.
- A home where he’ll be included as a part of your family.
- Ongoing structure, guidance, and obedience training to aid in the bonding process, provide him with the comfort that comes from routine, and continue building his manners
- Regular grooming and coat maintenance. Is likely to need to visit a groomer ever 4 - 6 weeks.
- A family who enjoys keeping active and can commit to daily walks and ongoing training.
- A family that is active and has multiple people living in the home, and will include Todd in the family activities.
- Todd is not suited to dog parks or off leash areas.
Meet Todd –
Todd is looking for an interesting family with multiple people living in the home, and to be included in family activities, he is wanting more than sitting in the backyard or inside the home, he needs a medium desexed female dog living in the home (not senior). After a busy day with his people and hanging with a doggy friend he will then be ready to be your inside cuddly buddy.
An adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a heart of gold and a zest for life. Todd is a confident, affectionate little guy who loves everyone he meets and is beyond ready to take on the world.
Todd is a medium energy boy who strikes a beautiful balance between adventurous and affectionate. He enjoys learning new things, playing with other dogs, meeting new people, going for walks, car rides, and road trips. Food is one of his favourite things in the world, and he’s always keen to do some training or enrichment activities.
Todd appears to have had minimal training prior to arriving in care. However, he now walks well on lead, recognises his name, sits when asked, and is crate trained. Todd is social and friendly with other dogs and enjoys playfully wrestling and running around with his canine friends. He has shown a preference for medium-sized female companions but has successfully lived and interacted with a range of dogs of all sizes both in and out of care.
Todd absolutely adores people, is wonderful with kids, and is loved by everyone who meets him. He has a happy, outgoing nature and brings a lot of joy into his carers' lives.
When Todd first entered care, he displayed some pushy behaviours with other dogs, particularly males, and struggled to read social cues. Through structure, guidance, and reinforcing polite social interactions, he has made excellent progress and shows much better dog-to-dog communication and respect for others' boundaries. He currently has a close friendship with a female German Shepherd in care, and the two absolutely love playing and sunbathing together.
Upon arrival, Todd was ungroomed/matted and had some skin allergies and ear infections. Following treatment, testing, and veterinary assessment, these have cleared up, and we believe they were likely related to inadequate grooming or seasonal/environmental factors. Future vet treatment may be required to manage Todd's allergies.

Medical notes
Upon arrival, Todd was ungroomed/matted and had some skin allergies, ear infections and needed his annul glands expressed.
Following treatment, testing, and veterinary assessment, these have cleared up, and we believe they were likely related to inadequate grooming or seasonal/environmental factors. There is now way of knowing if these conditions are likely to return, but with good diet and grooming practices they seem to be cleared up.
Future vet treatment may be required to manage Todd's allergies.
Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
