About Mochi
✨ Mochi — A Playful, Affectionate Boy With Zoomies to Spare ✨
If you’re looking for a cat who balances gentle affection with bursts of joyful chaos, Mochi might be the perfect match for you.
📛 Microchip No.: 991003003084988
📅 Date of Birth: ~July 2024
🐈 Gender: Male
🎨 Colour: Black & Grey Tabby
🐱 Breed: Domestic Short Hair (DSH)
📍 Foster Home: Rouse Hill, NSW
Mochi is a sweet, stripey boy who has truly come into his own. He may have started life a little shy, but with time and reassurance his personality has blossomed beautifully. These days, he’s confidently claiming comfy beds, exploring his world, and soaking up full-body scratches like the little prince he is.
Mochi has a playful, curious spirit and a hilarious sense of timing — especially when the sun goes down. Nighttime is his favourite part of the day, when he shows off his impressive zoomies, tunnel sprints, and acrobatic somersaults. During the quieter moments, he’s wonderfully affectionate, weaving between your legs for attention and happily settling in to sleep on your bed through the night.
What makes Mochi especially special is the balance he brings. He has serious cuddle potential, a gentle nature, and a goofy streak that will keep you smiling. He enjoys his hidey spots, loves his people, and thrives in a home that appreciates both playtime and affection. Mochi would suit someone who enjoys an interactive, loving cat with just the right amount of mischief.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
