Nature
Rupert is one of the friendliest kittens you could ever meet. He absolutely adores human company and believes there is no such thing as “too close.” Bedtime is best spent sleeping on your bed, and evenings are for curling up beside you on the couch — preferably on your lap. Rupert comes when he’s called, has beautiful manners, and is an all-round gentle, affectionate boy.

Rupert came into care with an old injury to his back leg which sadly couldn’t be saved, resulting in an amputation. Since returning home from the vet, he has adapted beautifully and truly seems thankful to be free from pain. His resilience, trust, and gentle spirit are incredibly moving — he doesn’t dwell on what he’s lost, only on the love he’s gained. His sweet nature shines through every day.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
In his foster home, Rupert lives with a dog who loves cats, and he showed no fear when they first met — suggesting he may have lived with dogs before. He gets along beautifully with the resident cats and all the young foster kittens. Rupert is a chilled, relaxed little dude who fits in effortlessly with everyone.

Likes / Dislikes
Rupert is the kind of kitten who gently steals your heart without you even realising it. He thrives on human love and wants to be wherever you are — on your bed at night, tucked beside you on the couch, or curled up happily on your lap. Being close is never close enough for Rupert. He carries himself with a quiet gratitude that’s impossible to ignore and will repay your kindness every day with affection, loyalty, and endless cuddles.

My purr-fect home would be one filled with love, toys, and climbing trees to explore. I would be happy with a family or a couple who will cherish me, and if you’re away during the day, I would love a furry companion to keep me company. Most of all, I’m dreaming of a warm lap each evening and a kind human to share my life (and bed!) with.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Rupert sustained an injury prior to coming into our care that resulted in amputation of his right hind leg. Due to this condition, he will need to be a strictly indoor-only cat, although he may enjoy access to a fully enclosed cat-run.
