Joey is a sweet and gentle Beagle who is ready to find her forever home. She can be a little reserved when faced with new environments or unfamiliar people, but she approaches life with quiet curiosity and grows in confidence as she settles in. With a patient and understanding adopter who allows her to adjust at her own pace, Joey quickly begins to show her affectionate, charming personality.

Joey will need to be rehomed with another confident, friendly dog, as having a canine companion gives her reassurance and helps her feel more comfortable navigating everyday life. A calm dog role model will help Joey continue to build confidence and flourish. She is not suited to a home with cats, as they can be overwhelming for her.

A secure backyard with 6-foot fencing is essential to keep Joey safe, as her Beagle nose may occasionally lead her on little adventures. She can suit a full-time working household, provided her needs for companionship, routine, and enrichment are well met. Joey is also open to meeting pet-savvy children who understand dog behaviour and respect her boundaries.
