About Baxter The Greyhound
*currently living in a home
*toilet trained
Hi, I’m Baxter! And I’m adorable.
I’m smallish (well, for a greyhound!), black and sweet as anything, and I’m still just a baby at 2 years old. I have a soft coat and an even softer nature, with excellent manners and a strong appreciation for pats.
I can be a little shy at first because I’m a sensitive soul, but with gentle encouragement I will warm up very quickly. And once I do? I’m basically your shadow. One of my signature moves on a walk is stepping in front of you like, “Hi, excuse me, I believe you’ve forgotten something.” (The something is pats. Always pats.)
I’m calm and easygoing, and I’m perfectly happy playing with my toys by myself. I’m also good with alone time, so I’m not the type to panic if you need to pop out (or do that thing called work!). And when I do get excited? I have the cutest zoomies! Very silly, very fast, 10/10 entertainment!
I’m good with other dogs, big and small, but I’m not really a party boy – I’m happy to keep to myself and do my own thing. I also appear to be pretty cat-neutral, which means I might even be open to living with a cat if everyone takes it slow with gradual introductions.
Basically I’m an adorable little fellow who will steal your heart (and hopefully a seat on your couch). So if you’re after a sweet, gentle companion with a soft heart and a penchant for pats, I might just be your boy.
Has showed calm neutral behaviour around cats during assessment and may suit a home with a cat after slow gradual introductions.
