Hi, my name is Baloo — and while I might have a bit of a street-cat exterior, don’t be fooled. Beneath that tough look is a certified cuddle expert who firmly believes laps exist for one very important purpose… me.

Nature
I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being close to my people. Cheek scratches are my absolute favourite, and I’ll happily return the love with smoochy affection of my own. When I’m not curled up enjoying a nap on a warm lap, you’ll usually find me batting at wand toys or following you around to see what you’re up to.

I’m social, people-focused, and thrive on companionship. I’d make a wonderful companion kitty for someone who enjoys affection, gentle play, and having a loyal little shadow around the house.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’ve only had interactions with adults so far. Because I can become overstimulated during pats, I’m not suited to young children. I would do best with calm, animal-savvy teenagers or adults who understand feline body language and know when to give space.

My PURR-fect home would be one where everyday life is happening — vacuum, doorbell, general household noise doesn’t bother me at all. I take it all in stride and would fit nicely into most calm homes. I’d be happiest with gentle, cat-savvy humans who understand my boundaries and enjoy giving affection when I ask for it. In return, I promise plenty of cuddles, companionship, and loyal lap-warming sessions.

Medical Notes: Baloo has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Baloo will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
