About Magnus
Meet Magnus, our delightful and playful wolfhound x pup, perfect for those who adore large dogs!!!!
Magnus is a big-hearted, gentle pup with oversized paws. This goof ball weighs 16 kg at 4 months old. He thrives on family life, enjoying every moment indoors and staying close to his human companions. He enjoys the company of the resident dog and is displaying great social manners for his age
Currently in foster care, Magnus lives with two adults, two teenagers, and a four-legged foster sister. He is a social butterfly, warmly welcoming visitors and sticking close to his humans, whether they’re doing chores or simply moving around the house. Magnus loves to be your shadow following you around the home and being part of family life
Magnus loves playing with his foster sister, chasing toys and balls, going for walks, and experiencing the occasional zoomies. He eagerly greets family members when they return home and has a fondness for treats, especially chewable hooves.
Magnus has made great strides in his training, mastering basic commands like “sit,” “on your mat,” and “down.” He is improving daily on the lead and would benefit from a family committed to continued training. His great motivation makes this task easier.
Magnus is curious and excited about the world during his walks, though he may pull on the lead initially due to excitement. He can be redirected with a simple “no” when overly eager to meet other dogs.
This affectionate pup loves attention and cuddles. He is gentle with smaller dogs but may be cautious around larger ones until he feels comfortable, typical for pups. Magnus isn’t fond of car rides yet, but with more exposure and reassurance, his confidence will grow. Early exposure to novel things is required at this age so he is still learning about the outside world and is showing confidence at this stage of his development
Magnus tolerates showers well and enjoys two meals a day, with no food aggression towards his foster sister. He sleeps in his foster parent’s room, either on his mat or the carpet, and enjoys morning cuddles on the bed. In the afternoons, he likes to nap on the couch near his humans. Magnus is still learning about toileting and needs regular outdoor breaks to prevent accidents inside. He is progressing very well
Magnus has adapted to both indoor and outdoor living, with his humans home most of the time. He hasn’t shown significant destructive behavior but, like any puppy, may chew on inappropriate items that are left around. Providing toys and stimulation is essential when he’s left alone.
At night, Magnus prefers being indoors, relaxing on the floor or cuddling on the couch. He makes a great couch potato who loves a snuggle
IDEAL HOME
A home that has previously had large dog experience and if experienced with the breed even better.
A home that is committed to his training and development and has time to put into a puppy regarding training and exposure.
A home with another female dog medium to large who loves to play and interact is preferred.
A home with a yard big enough for a goofy boy to play and practice his zoomies
A home with dog savvy kids who can tolerate large puppy behaviour will be considered.
An active family is a must for this boy
Secure fencing and a nice size yard.
