Meet Darla 🌷
Darla is a sweet, shy little soul who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
This gentle girl has come such a long way in foster care, and every day her confidence continues to grow. She may be a bit reserved at first and will need a patient, understanding home that’s happy to let her set the pace, but those small, quiet wins with Darla are incredibly special.
Once she’s feeling safe and comfortable, Darla’s playful side begins to peek through. She’s curious, observant, and enjoys gentle play when the moment feels right. Watching her gain confidence and come out of her shell is truly heart-melting, and she’ll reward your kindness with trust and sweet little moments that feel earned.
Darla would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who understands that the best bonds are built slowly. If you’re the kind of person who believes in celebrating progress, no matter how small, Darla could be your perfect match. 🐾💗

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
