Donkey

Donkey is a sweet, gentle Beagle who is ready to find his forever home. He is a sensitive boy who can feel a little unsure in new environments and around unfamiliar people, so he will thrive with a patient and understanding adopter who is happy to give him the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace. Once he feels safe, Donkey shows his affectionate and endearing nature.

Donkey must be rehomed with another confident, friendly dog, as he gains a lot of confidence from having a canine role model to show him the ropes and help him navigate day-to-day life. He is not suited to a home with cats, as they can be quite overwhelming and scary for him.

Donkey will require a secure backyard with 6-foot fencing to ensure his safety, as Beagles can be curious explorers once their nose takes over. He is well suited to a full-time worker household, provided his needs for companionship, routine and enrichment are met. Donkey is also open to meeting pet-savvy children who understand dog behaviour and know how to respect his boundaries.
