About Timmy - 3 Year Old Kelpie
If you are looking for a ‘go anywhere, up for anything, stick by your side till the end of your days kind of dog’, then Timmy is the boy you have been looking for. Timmy just wants his best friend for life, someone that will be as loyal to him as he will be to you. He wants to be involved and included in everything. Timmy has a super happy personality, is cuddly and affectionate and an absolute joy to have around.
About Timmy
- Timmy is a 3.5 yr old desexed male, black and tan kelpie.
- Initially, Timmy can be a little shy. He has had very limited life experience, so he is looking for someone with patience and kindness and who is willing to help build his confidence.
- Timmy LOVES being physically close to his people, so if you aren’t up cuddling on the couch or just being so close that nothing can come between you, this boy may not be for you.
- Timmy is highly intelligent and a fast learner. He can be also be very sensitive and his new owner will need to take this into consideration with their training approach so as not to detrimentally impact on his confidence.
- Timmy has a super happy personality and a soft, gentle nature. He is still very ‘puppy like’ in his behaviour and every day is a whole new experience for him.
- Timmy loves going for walks and adventures, and will greatly benefit from some training on a lead.
- Timmy loves playing with other dogs. Other kelpies or working dogs with a similar play style and energy, are his favourite.
His perfect family;
- His perfect family will either need to be home more often that not, or be able to take Timmy with them. He just needs to be involved! Timmy is definitely not a dog that can be left alone for hours on end.
- Initially, Timmy will need a fairly quiet environment. He is still learning about being inside a house, and he spooks easily with any sudden loud noises. Given this, Timmy would be best suited to a family, with older (10yrs plus) kids.
- Timmy will need an active home, to provide him with lots of stimulation and exercise.
- His new family would preferably have a medium sized, non- dominant dog for him to play with. This would be ideal for Timmy but not essential. ( a couple of ‘meet and greets’ with this potential doggy brother or sister would be essential)
-Will need to commit to on -going training . Timmy is super smart and a quick learner, and he already knows the basics.
- Will have a large, safe and secure yard, with 6ft fencing.
Timmy is in foster care in Central Mangrove, NSW. His adoption fee is $600, and he is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, house trained and treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
