About Jasper
Jasper is a male Domestic Medium Hair cat available for adoption in Brunswick (Melbourne, Victoria).
Jasper is a thoughtful, intelligent cat with a cheeky sense of humour and a strong appreciation for routine. He enjoys being part of daily life, quietly supervising household activities and keeping a watchful eye on everything happening around him.
Independent yet loyal, Jasper forms steady bonds with his guardian and becomes a calm, companionable presence in the home.
A little about Jasper:
🐾 Intelligent, observant and full of character
🐾 Loyal companion who enjoys calm households
🐾 Appreciates routine and predictable daily rhythms
🐾 Best suited as the only pet
🐾 Thrives with patient, experienced guardians
Jasper approaches affection in his own thoughtful way. With the people he trusts, he enjoys short moments of connection — a gentle head bump, a brief scratch, or a quiet chat before settling nearby.
He isn’t a lap cat, but he is a loyal sidekick who likes to stay close.
His purr is wonderfully distinctive, sounding like a small tractor warming up whenever he’s feeling content.
When visitors arrive, Jasper prefers to observe quietly until things feel calm again. He appreciates guardians who allow him to approach interactions at his own pace.
Jasper would flourish in a calm, adult household where he can be the only pet.
While he currently shares space with a gentle dog, this has left him feeling a little on edge, and he has shown that he relaxes much more when he doesn’t need to share his environment with other animals.
To support his transition into a new home, Jasper is currently supported with Zylkene, and the vet has provided additional medication to help him adjust smoothly during his settling period.
With patience, routine and understanding, he is expected to settle beautifully.
Jasper’s daily rhythm is delightfully predictable.
Breakfast arrives around 7am (with the occasional weekend sleep-in), followed by a big drink of water and a nibble of fresh grass before zoomies begin.
He enjoys watching the neighbourhood from the window, playing with dangly toys, and spending supervised time outdoors.
Lunch requests usually begin about half an hour early, and evenings are reserved for serious people-watching before he settles in for the night.
Life with Jasper often feels quietly entertaining.
Mornings may begin with breakfast reminders and a cheerful purr.
Afternoons include window watching, toy play and household supervision.
Evenings often end with Jasper nearby, calmly sharing space with his guardian.
For someone who appreciates a cat with personality, routines and a strong sense of self, Jasper could become a wonderfully loyal companion.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
