Meet Arlo, an American Staffy x Rottweiler with an endearing mix of strength and charm. At five years old and weighing in at 28.8 kg, Arlo is a delightful mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. He thrives on structure, is well-trained with a host of fun tricks up his paw (like spin and play dead!), and is ready for his new home.

Arlo is an intelligent, medium-sized boy who enjoys both indoor and outdoor settings. During the day, he loves to spend time in the yard but he would love to be primarily an inside dog so he can be part of the family unit. Though he knows how to entertain himself during the day, if left alone for hours on end, he might take his curiosity out on his toys or dog bed so enrichment aids are a must.

Arlo's ideal family is active and attentive, ready to engage with his excitable nature. With his lively disposition, Arlo would enjoy long daily walks and hikes and being involved in family activities where he can share in the fun. Though he's not had experience with young children, he does well with adults and young adults therefore only dog savvy kids 12+ is recommended for this boy. Arlo is dog friendly and a canine companion could be a bonus however a meet and greet followed by slow and controlled integration would be a must.

Arlo's new family should have high fences, as he can be adept at jumping. It's important to note that he occasionally acts as an exuberant watchdog, barking at the doorbell or making a dash for an open door, so vigilance is key with open doors and gates. Arlo can sometimes guard items of high value to him but, a clear command of "drop" will see this clever boy relax and redirect!
