Hello hello, I'm Roxy - a 5 year old pocket rocket black and tan Kelpie girl whose looking for my forever home and family!

I am a classic Kelpie with lots of energy but respectful other dogs' personal spaces and would be comfortable being in an only dog home or with like-minded fur siblings of a similar age or older. I have also started visiting the local dog park and have proven myself to be a polite if somewhat reserved lady.

I have settled in quickly to my foster family and routine, and love nothing more than being showered with cuddles, belly rubs and attention, and being able to spend quality time with my humans. Whilst I don't jump, I am powerful despite my diminutive stature and would suit a home with school-aged children upwards.

I am fully house-trained and crate-trained, and know my name, how to sit on command (including at meal times) and have shown good recall but am still learning how to shake and do other tricks. I am a delight to walk on a lead (just ask my foster humans) and not reactive to other people, animals, bikes or vehicles. I am very enthusiastic about power tools though!

In addition to pats, food is the way to my heart and I will never say no to a tasty treat. However, my enthusiasm gets the better of me sometimes and I am still working on taking food gently from the hand.

I am looking for a home and family that will include me in their daily lives and provide me with the the level of exercise and stimulation required for my breed. I don't dig or jump fences, and would adapt well to both a larger yard or rural setting.
