Meet Luna, the delicate and elegant Chinese Crested who is looking for a gentle and patient new family to call her own. At 7 years young, Luna has already had quite the remarkable life as a former show dog, and now she's ready to settle down into a forever family that can provide her with the love and comfort she deserves. Despite her timid nature, Luna has an abundance of love to give once she feels safe and secure.
Weighing in at a petite 5kgs, Luna is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, and wormed, ensuring she is perfectly prepared to join her new home. Her ideal environment is one with a very secure fence, as her cautious nature means she needs a space where she can feel truly safe. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs, which brings out her confident side, making her the perfect companion for families that already have a canine companion. While she hasn't been tested with cats, her calm demeanor suggests she would likely get along well with them too. Older kids (12+ years) would be a great match for Luna, offering her gentle companionship and play without overwhelming her.
Residing in Red Hill, Luna is well-acquainted with home living. She's house-trained and ready to seamlessly integrate into your family. Luna loves nothing more than spending time with her doggy pals, and she thrives in a household where she can receive the consistent love and patience she needs to blossom. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle soul to become part of your life, Luna could be the perfect addition to your family. With an adoption fee of $695, Luna is waiting to find that special someone who will cherish her for the unique, loving dog she is.
♥️Please note: Luna is EXTREMELY SHY, she will hide under the bed for weeks before feeling confident.
We would require you to show your understanding of this by giving examples of your experience or research or tell us how you feel about this.
She is very very very shy , so just completing a normal application with normal answers just won’t make sense. It will help if you could address her behaviour in your application . Thanks ♥️

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee (per dog) . This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
