About Yoru
Yoru is a calm, gentle soul with a big heart for companionship—and a clever streak that might surprise you. Low-maintenance, highly intelligent, and quietly devoted, he’s a master of tricks who genuinely enjoys clicker training and showing off what he knows. When he’s not impressing you with his smarts, he moves through his day with an easygoing rhythm of birdwatching, chatting, eating, and well-earned naps, always happiest when he’s close by as your calm little shadow.
Affection comes naturally to Yoru, and he shares it generously. With familiar people, he’s always close by, greeting you with headbutts, gentle requests for pats, and the occasional friendly conversation. New visitors are simply new friends—he happily explores who’s arrived, hangs around the action, and is comfortable being patted or held. If you’re looking for a cat who genuinely enjoys people, Yoru delivers in spades.
Yoru would thrive in a calm, indoor-only home, ideally an apartment or quiet household where he can soak up the peaceful vibes and be the main event. He’s best suited to being the only pet, allowing him to fully focus on his favourite pastime: keeping his guardian company. A steady routine and relaxed environment are right up his alley.
His joys are simple and delightful—chicken breast snacks, bouncy ball toys, and legendary armpit scratches rank very highly. His days start with a punctual 7am breakfast, followed by window watching, chatting, and a post-meal nap. After a midday feed and more bird surveillance, evenings are reserved for playtime, treats, couch cuddles, and a tidy bedtime around 10:30pm. One of his most charming habits is his morning wake-up routine, where he rolls around, chats to you, and politely demands scratches.
Sharing life with Yoru means never feeling alone—there’s always a warm presence nearby, a soft voice chatting back, and a loyal companion happy to share every moment. He’s ready for a stable, loving home where his gentle nature and affectionate ways will be truly valued. If your idea of happiness includes a calm little shadow by your side, Yoru might just be the one you’ve been waiting for.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
