About Tree Trunks
Meet Tree Trunks 🐾
Tree Trunks is a goofy, people-loving Amstaff puppy with a heart as big as his paws. Despite his young age, he has a surprisingly calm and thoughtful outlook on the world, paired beautifully with classic puppy playfulness. He’s affectionate, curious, and an absolute joy to be around.
Tree Trunks enjoys taking a moment to observe new environments before confidently engaging. He isn’t easily spooked and approaches new experiences with a balanced, age-appropriate curiosity. This lovely temperament gives him an excellent foundation for continued learning and growth.
Tree Trunks adores cuddles, following his people around, chewing (especially while teething!), food, and interactive games like chase and tug. He is best described as a medium-energy, medium-drive puppy. He works well for food, toys, and praise, and with the right handler, a variety of training methods can be introduced and built upon.
Training & Foundations
Tree Trunks is already off to a fantastic start:
- Doing very well with toilet training
- Crate trained
- Has begun learning sit and recall
Current focus is on socialisation, confidence building, and positive exposure, with short, age-appropriate training sessions that suit his puppy attention span. As with any young pup, adopters will need to continue training and exposure to ensure long-term success.
Ideal Home
Tree Trunks would love a home with people who enjoy being actively involved in his life and are excited to help him grow into the best dog he can be. He responds beautifully to kind guidance, routine, and consistency. He would thrive with a moderately active family committed to ongoing training, socialisation, and enrichment.
He may enjoy having a confident dog sibling, but he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog if his people are meeting his needs.
Energy Level
For a puppy, Tree Trunks has a fairly chill to moderate energy level. He enjoys playtime and then settles well, showing an excellent ability to switch off. He has been introduced to crate training and tethering, allowing him to relax in a variety of settings.
He sleeps well overnight (8–10 hours) and is comfortable taking daytime naps, even with background music and normal household noise.
Suitability for Children
Tree Trunks would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy children, with supervision. As a young, large-breed puppy, he will benefit from continued training and gentle guidance to develop appropriate manners as he grows.
Suitability for Other Dogs & Animals
With other dogs, Tree Trunks is playful and enthusiastic. His play style can be a bit rough and over-the-top at times, which is very normal for his age and breed mix. He is best matched with confident, well-balanced dogs who are comfortable with robust puppy play. More sensitive or submissive dogs may find him overwhelming at this stage. He is learning to read corrections and will continue to improve with guidance as he matures.
Tree Trunks has not been tested with cats or small animals. He has shown mild curiosity toward birds, but no strong prey drive has been observed so far.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
