Meet Honey 🐾
Personality:
As her name suggests Honey is such a sweetie who absolutely adores her people. She is so very loyal, follows you everywhere you go and just wants to please you. She is so loving and affectionate and rolls over for belly scratches & pats from her people. She is a lively little girl who loves her walks, playing tug of war with her foster sibling & joining in on a game of fetch. She empties the toy bucket daily & seems to stay out of mischief if she has enough exercise & chew toys. She unfortunately doesn't appear to have been socialised with other people, sounds & dogs before coming into care at 5 months of age. She's been working so hard on building her confidence and can now happily walk past people, bikes & other dogs walking on wide footpaths with positive reinforcement (treats). She has been having play dates with other foster dogs at the beach and after slow introductions she loves to run along beside them & have a play with them. She prefers if people ignore her & allow her to sniff them before attempting to pat her and doesn't always want strangers to pat her so needs a home that can advocate for her space. She's benefited from living with a friendly & confident dog in foster care and would love a new home with another friendly & confident dog to show her the ropes.
Training:
Honey is very smart and very quickly learnt sit, stay, recall & drop in her first few days in foster care. She is very food motivated making her so fun to train! She is learning her loose lead walking with ease. She is completely toilet trained and has never had an accident indoors while in care. She sleeps all night in her crate and you don't hear a peep out of her until the morning when she starts yawning. When it's dinner time she sprints to her crate & sits waiting for her command to eat. She was jumpy when she first came into care but with consistency she has learnt that jumping does not get her attention & is turning into such a good girl. She is unsure of visitors in the home but she ignores them if she is in her crate or outside - barks at them if she's inside - this is a work in progress & she is slowly learning to take treats & engage in play around visitors. Honey needs a home that is happy to continue her ongoing training & socialisation to ensure she grows up to be a good girl. She'd be such a joy to take to training classes.
Perfect Home:
We'd love to see Honey in a home with another friendly & confident dog. She needs a confident owner that understands cattle dogs, has had experience with training dogs and is happy to work with her, socialise her & train her. She's been enjoying 2 walks a day in her foster home with some training & play throughout the day. She settles fine outside in the yard with her furry foster friend during work hours. She has not been around children in foster care and is unsure of their noises when on walks so is currently looking for a home without young children. She is switched on when birds are around so would unlikely suit a home with free range chickens.
Love & licks!

Medical notes
The desexing procedure is typically performed once the puppies reach a minimum age of 24 weeks. It is a mandatory requirement that all puppies are desexed by the age of 26 weeks, unless there is written veterinary advice indicating otherwise. A contractual agreement specifying the commitment to desexing by the specified due date is required for completion.
Upon submission of documented evidence confirming the desexing procedure, a refund of $250 will be issued, and ownership transfer will be facilitated. Ownership transfer will not be processed until valid proof of desexing is provided via email.
It is important to note that all our dogs and puppies undergo microchipping, vaccination, and receive preventive measures against parasites as part of our standard practices.
