Hello there, I'm Murphy! I have come a long way since being rescued by the Angels. While life didn’t start out easy for me, I have made incredible progress in foster care and I am learning every day that I am safe, loved, and doing just fine.

Nature
I am a gentle, sweet boy who is still building my confidence, but I have already come such a long way. Foster Mum tells me every day how proud she is — and I'm starting to believe her. I love toys (especially squishy catnip ones!) and I spend my day relaxing on the top of my favourite cat tree or soaking up sunshine on the windowsill. I can be a little shy with new people and I'm not a big fan of being picked up just yet, but gentle pats are welcome when I'm relaxed — sometimes earning you a cheeky bum lift in appreciation 😹.

I am settling beautifully into house-cat life, have excellent litter tray manners, and happily enjoy wet food morning, noon, and night, with biscuits always available if I get peckish.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I haven’t met young children, so older, calm kids who understand gentle interactions would suit me best.

I live with lots of other cats in foster care and truly enjoy feline company. Having another cat in my future home is very important to me — I don’t want to be a solo kitty and I would love a friend to play and snuggle with.

There is a dog in my foster home, but I haven’t met them and don’t feel comfortable doing so — a dog-free home would be best for me.

My PURR-fect home would be a calm, loving indoor home where I am given time and space to settle at my own pace, ideally with a quiet room to help me feel safe and secure at first. I love gentle humans, plenty of affection, and another friendly kitty for company — both for playtime when you’re out and cosy snuggles when you’re home. Access to a fully enclosed cat run would be pretty pawsome too! With patience and kindness, I promise to reward you with gentle affection, a sweet personality, and the joy of watching a shy boy continue to blossom. 🤍

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Murphy was exposed to Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. He did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
