About 10596 - Doxy
š§øš§” MEET DOXY š§”š§ø
Nature
Doxy is a super sweet, affectionate boy who greets you with the cutest kitten-like meow when you walk through the door. He loves being close to you, curled up next to you on the sofa, happily doing air biscuits while he dozes off. He gives the best head bumps and just wants to be involved in everything youāre doing. If youāre cooking, expect him to supervise (and hope for a taste!) Heās very food motivated and loves playtime, especially with a feather on a stick.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Doxy lived with children in his previous home and was wonderfully tolerant. He hasnāt met dogs yet, so weāre unsure how heād react. Doxy is FELV positive, so can not live with other cats.
Likes / Dislikes
Doxy loves being near his humans (no closed doors, please!) and will cry out if separated. He loves head bumps and sofa snuggles, watching birds outside, feather toys and interactive play, and all things food related! Like most cats, Doxy isnāt a fan of some sudden movements and loud noises (like the vacuum - he's not a fan!).
My PURR-fect home would be a loving home where Iāll never feel left out. My humans will need to include me in their daily activities and give me plenty of attention. I must be a strictly indoor only kitty due to my medical needs. If youāre looking for a loyal companion who wants to be part of everything you do, I am your guy! š§”
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Ginger
DOB: 24/09/2023
Adoption Fee: $0 due to medical notes
*Doxyās adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment.
Medical Notes: Doxy has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). FeLV is a retrovirus that infects cats. FeLV transmission most commonly occurs through close, social contact. Contact with saliva from infected cats is a primary mode of transmission, because the concentration of virus is high in saliva. FeLV means that the catās immune system is compromised and the cat is more susceptible to other infections. Due to his FeLV Doxy will need to be an inside only cat. He can only go to a home with no other cats, or with a cat that is already FeLV positive. He can live with dogs and humans, as FeLV is not inter-species transmissible.
š¾Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage and Advocate from Elanco Animal Health for all of your new furry family membersā flea and worming needs.
