About Stitch
Stitch is a gorgeous young puppy with an incredibly affectionate nature and a love of being close to his people. He is a very snuggly little boy who will happily curl up on a lap whenever given the chance and enjoys relaxing on the lounge for cuddles both during the day and in the evenings. Stitch is naturally curious and, with the encouragement of his foster brothers, is showing lovely confidence as he explores his surroundings. He is a sweet, people-oriented pup who thrives on companionship and inclusion.
Stitch is making great progress with his foundation training in foster care. He has learnt to sit, is improving with his lead walking, and absolutely loves his crate, where he happily sleeps through the night. Recall training is underway, and he is showing steady improvement, responding well to consistency and positive guidance. His toilet training is progressing well though his new owner should expect the occasional accident while he settles in. Stitch travels well in the car and confidently jumps in and relaxes on the back seat, making trips out easy and enjoyable. This gorgeous boy is a bright and eager learner who listens well when redirected.
Socially, Stitch is a very friendly puppy who loves everyone he meets. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and tends to follow their lead, gaining confidence from their presence. He would greatly enjoy having another friendly, active dog in his new home to play with and learn from. Stitch is comfortable around children, though he can jump up in excitement, so continued training and supervision should be implemented. He is currently living with three cats and while he has never shown aggression, he will chase them if they run as part of play. A dog-savvy cat or a home committed to slow and appropriate introductions would be ok.
An active home where Stitch can be included as part of daily life will suit him best. He loves being outdoors, enjoys playing throughout the day, and has happily spent time on a property alongside horses with his foster family. He has discovered a love of water play, especially the hose, and has enjoyed trips to the beach. Stitch finds comfort in the company of other dogs and is happiest when surrounded by his people and canine companions. He is currently around the 18kg mark and is expected to grow into a large adult dog (30-40kg). Stitch will require daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him healthy and happy throughout his life.
At night, Stitch sleeps in his crate in the bedroom alongside his foster brothers. His new home should include him as part of the family, allowing him time indoors with everyone and providing a warm and comfy bed/crate for him to sleep indoors at night. His new home should be happy to share the couch, as Stitch loves to snuggle and relax close by. Like all puppies, he enjoys chewing and is still learning appropriate outlets, but he responds well to guidance and is eager to please. With continued training, structure and love, Stitch is going to grow into a wonderful companion and a much-loved member of his future family.
We are looking for a dog savvy home for Stitch where he is included as a valued member of the family. He would thrive in an active household that can continue his training and provide plenty of companionship, enrichment and guidance. A home with another friendly, well-socialised dog would be ideal, as Stitch gains confidence from canine role models, though he could also succeed as an only dog with owners who are home more often than not and able to provide him with appropriate socialisation outside the home. His new family should be understanding of normal puppy behaviours and committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
