Once upon a Time, a beautiful kitty was found in a not so wonderful place, she had no family and no place to call home 🏠 , just one friend - her best mate Rosie: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1168079
Here’s where we come in, a member of the public contacted their local vet, who then connected them with our rescue organisation…. and thank goodness they did…
What we discovered is that Pixie 🧚🏻 was still a kitten herself — the sad reality of there being no regulation or care for kitties being born on the street.
When we first met Pixie, she was giving birth and her kittens were being found scattered about, as she didn’t yet understand what was happening to her, she would roll around and didn’t know how to nurse them properly. Pixie was so young she didn’t even realise she was now a Mama. Two of her three babies survived, and with time, Pixie blossomed into the most amazing mother 🥹💞 — even taking on a tiny orphan baby and saving his life.
Now that her royal duties are complete, Princess Pixie is ready for her happily-ever-after 🏰🐱

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
