About Baxter
Meet Baxter, a handsome brown-coated gentleman with a heart as warm as his colouring. Baxter was found living on the streets before making his way to the pound, and it’s clear he’s a true survivor. Despite his rough start and arriving as an entire male, he was in remarkably good condition, showing just how resilient he is. Once safely in care, he was desexed and quickly began his transition from street-smart survivor to pampered companion.
Baxter has discovered that life with humans has some excellent perks, and he is thoroughly enjoying them. He loves being around people and will happily curl up beside you for a long binge-watching session, soaking up the comfort of being close. Every now and then, he’ll show a touch of independence and choose a quiet spot of his own; a gentle reminder of his self-sufficient past.
With his big, bright eyes, Baxter likes to keep tabs on everything happening around him. He is an observant boy who enjoys watching the comings and goings of the cattery, paying particular attention to the outside dog called Kitty. He is definitely on alert when she is around, watching her and retreating into a cat tower when she gets to close to window. When it’s time for affection, he’s all in chin scritches and big pats are his absolute favourites, and he gazes up at you with pure adoration as you oblige. He does have a limit of how many he likes and will let you know when he has had his fill.
Sweet-natured and increasingly confident, Baxter now seeks out human attention and asks for pats with quiet enthusiasm. He has also embraced one of the greatest joys of domestic life: food that simply appears, ready to eat, with no hunting or hard work required. Baxter is truly settling into the good life, and he’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue to be loved, admired, and well-fed.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
