About Thumper
It isn’t always easy finding carers for larger breed dogs, but when we saw a pic with limited information on a Dane x puppy we just knew we had to swipe right.
The pics don’t always represent what we are expecting to arrive, it can be a little like online dating so there are always a few surprises instore!
Thumper was quite underweight when he first arrived Despite his condition, he is an absolute sweetheart and luckily, he holds no grudges. Foster mum has a feeding plan in place, and he will never go hungry again (he has been embracing his 4 meals a day with gusto). He is currently 16kgs.
He has absolutely amazed us and within 3 weeks he’s come on in leaps and bounds and is now resembling the magnificent Dane mix we knew was in there
He has eyes that will make you melt like ice cream on a hot day and he will have you wrapped around his paws in no time at all.
Thumper’s toilet training is going well. He will happily eat in his crate but isn’t fond of sleeping in there, but he may warm up to this if his future family wish to continue working on his crate training.
He loves to cuddle and will literally follow you everywhere and is showing to be quite the Velcro dog.
He is a big fan of toys, the noisier the better
Whoever welcomes this young man into their family is going to be incredibly lucky and rewarded with unconditional love and affection and will never feel alone again (as he will be right behind you at all times!)
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
