About China - 14 year old Tenterfield Terrier
China 14 year old Tenterfield Terrier • Gentle • Affectionate • Snuggle Queen
Hi there! My name is China, and I’m a sweet senior Tenterfield Terrier with a soft soul and a huge love for being close to my humans. My favourite place in the whole world is right beside you — whether that’s curled up on the couch, snoozing on your bed, or quietly following you around like the loyal little shadow I am. Because I feel safest near my people, I must be allowed indoors full‑time (the couch and bed are my happy places!).
I really enjoy short to medium walks, sunbaking in a warm spot, and relaxing car rides. I walk beautifully on lead and love exploring, but because I’m deaf, I always need to stay on‑leash when I’m outside.
I currently live with two small dogs and I’m also fine with cats. I could be your one‑and‑only, but only if you’re home most of the time — I settle best with company and don’t like being alone for long periods. A gentle similar sized doggie friend (not a puppy) would also make me very happy.
I’m a well‑mannered girl at home: I use the doggy door, sleep through the night, and love mealtimes (I do a very cute happy dance!). I may need a little guidance learning your toileting routine, and I sometimes need help hopping onto the bed or couch — but I promise I’m worth the lift.
Because I prefer a calm lifestyle, I’m looking for a home without young kids.
💛 My Needs
- Someone home most of the time or a similar sized dog companion
- Must be allowed inside full‑time (bed and couch access, please!)
- A calm, quiet home (no children under 12)
- Patience as I settle into new routines
