About Zara
✨ Zara — A Gentle, Independent Soul Who Blossoms With Time ✨
If you’re looking for a calm, well-mannered cat who brings peace, stability, and quiet companionship into a home, Zara may be your perfect match.
📛 Microchip No.: 991003002664820
📅 Date of Birth: ~Jan 2023
🐈 Gender: Female
🎨 Colour: Grey
🐱 Breed: Domestic Short Hair (DSH)
📍 Foster Home: Drummoyne, Sydney
Zara is a beautifully independent cat with a calm, mature nature. She loves to do her own thing, but she also truly enjoys affection — when she’s in the mood, she’ll happily soak up pats, scratches, and gentle brushing. She is incredibly well behaved and has a relaxed presence that makes her an easy, peaceful companion to live with.
What makes Zara especially lovely is how she interacts with people. She isn’t the type to rush into your arms, but she is very comfortable around strangers and remains calm and composed. Once that interaction passes, she prefers to settle back into her own space. In a new home, Zara will take time to observe, adjust, and slowly build her confidence. She does this best when given patience and understanding.
Zara doesn’t need constant attention to feel secure. She’ll happily curl up nearby, quietly observing the world and enjoying the comfort of your presence. When she chooses to seek affection, it feels intentional and meaningful — a genuine sign of trust and connection. She offers the perfect balance of independence and warmth.
Zara would thrive in a calm home that values routine and understands that some of the most rewarding relationships are the ones that grow gradually. She’s not a high-energy kitten — she’s a grown, gentle cat who knows what she likes and finds joy in the simple things. Give her the space to be herself, and she will reward you with steady companionship and a beautifully grounding presence.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
