About Alex
Alex is a handsome 7‑year‑old Domestic Short Hair with a calm, easygoing nature. He takes life at his own gentle pace and is happy to spend his days relaxing, watching the world go by, and enjoying the company of the people around him.
He's at a great age - past the kitten chaos but still full of love, charm, and personality. Whether he's lounging in a sunny spot or coming over for a quiet pat, Alex is the kind of cat who brings a peaceful warmth to any home.
If you're looking for a relaxed, mature companion who's ready to settle in and enjoy the good life with you, Alex would love to be your new best friend. 🐾💛
To book a meet and greet with Alex please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.
Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
