Gertie is one half of our beautiful bonded pair of young black cats, Gertie and Whitney. Two very close girls who even had kittens at the same time and adorably raised all of them together, sharing the responsibilities between them.

These two lovely girls are inseparable and must be adopted together.

Gertie and Whitney are affectionate in their own gentle way and absolutely adore chin scratches and sitting close to their people. While they’re not fans of being picked up, they show their love by choosing to be near you and enjoying quiet companionship. They thrive on human company and will happily spend time with you throughout the day.

They are not keen on other cats or dogs and would be best suited to a home without other pets, where they can feel secure and relaxed. A calm family environment where their boundaries are respected would be ideal.

Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, flea and worm treatment, microchip - including the transfer of ownership - and sterilisation.

ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen cat is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen cat is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
