About Georgie
Georgie is a little kitten with a big heart and an incredible story of resilience. She came into the shelter in a terrible state, so badly injured that both of her eyes had to be removed to save her life. While Georgie may be blind, she doesn't let that define who she is, she's simply learning to experience the world a little differently.
This sweet girl is gentle, affectionate, and loves the comfort of human voices and soft pats. She navigates her surroundings using her other senses, and with a calm, consistent environment she builds confidence quickly. Georgie thrives when she knows where things are and when people take the time to speak to her before touching her, it helps her feel safe and secure.
Georgie will need a patient, understanding home that's ready to support a blind kitten. Keeping furniture layouts consistent, avoiding sudden changes, using textured mats near food, water, and litter trays, and talking to her as you move around will help her settle in beautifully. Many blind cats live full, happy, playful lives - they just need a little extra consideration and love.
In return, Georgie will give you unwavering affection and trust. She's a reminder that even after the hardest beginnings, there is still so much love to give.
If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special kitten, Georgie is waiting to meet you
