NOTE: You are unable to meet Dakota until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Dakota in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• I need to be the only dog at home; I get jealous and may pick a fight. I am ok to meet & greet with other dogs when out & about on a walk, however I am NOT suitable for dog parks or to be off lead etc
• Due to my size & breed it is recommended that I don't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs, chickens/ducks & livestock etc
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality food, I appear to be a bit picky with food so it may be trial & error until you find something that I like. I do seem to enjoy raw food.
• A family who promises to keep me well-groomed and brush me regularly so I'm always looking and feeling my best. Regular blow outs at the groomer is also recommended.
• Lots of love and attention

My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered girl
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I appear housetrained
• I LOVE toys, especially teddies and squeaky toys

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I can be stubborn & headstrong at times although this is very common for my breed.
• I do walk quite well on the lead but can pull fairly strongly if there is something of interest to me. Walking in a halti or harness would be beneficial for both me & you.
