About Stardust
Little chatterbox energy
Stardust is a female Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Auburn (Sydney, NSW).
If you’re looking for a cat who truly feels part of the household, Stardust brings that spark. This domestic short hair is active, curious and wonderfully tuned in to the rhythm of daily life — the kind of companion who notices what you’re doing and likes to be involved.
She’s not a background cat. Stardust enjoys interaction and will often be nearby, keeping you company as your day unfolds.
A little about Stardust:
🐾 Social, interactive and chatty
🐾 Thrives in active households
🐾 Enjoys the company of other cats
🐾 Well suited to indoor and apartment living
🐾 Food-motivated and always curious
🐾 Best suited to a dog-free home
Stardust has a way of making everyday moments feel more alive. Mornings often begin with soft, conversational meows as she checks in — a gentle, chatty presence rather than constant noise — especially if breakfast might be on the horizon.
Throughout the day, she weaves in and out of the action. She may sit nearby while you work, follow along out of curiosity, or quietly supervise from a favourite perch. She enjoys being included, without needing constant attention.
With her people, she’s affectionate and engaging. She’ll greet you with soft vocal hellos and often “chat back,” creating those small moments that feel like a real exchange. Her affection is steady but not overwhelming — she connects, then settles comfortably alongside you.
When meeting new people, Stardust prefers to observe first. Once things feel calm and predictable, she relaxes and joins in at her own pace, showing her social side when she’s ready.
She genuinely enjoys the company of other cats and would benefit from a feline companion to share play, grooming and rest. Her social nature means she’s used to that connection and tends to feel most settled with it. A dog-free home will help her feel safe and confident.
Her days follow a familiar rhythm. She’s most engaged around mealtimes and responds well to routine, often learning the flow of the household quickly. Afternoons might include playful bursts or a well-timed nap in a sunny or unexpected spot.
As evening arrives, her playful side comes through — a few zoomies, a bit of exploration, then a gradual wind-down as she settles nearby, content after a day of interaction and observation.
Life with Stardust feels interactive, warm and gently lively — a cat who checks in, keeps you company, and adds a layer of personality to everyday routines.
She’ll suit a guardian who enjoys an engaged, communicative cat and a home where there’s a natural rhythm to the day — someone who appreciates a companion that is present, curious and quietly involved.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
