Adoption information
About Elsa
Elsa is a sweet and gentle little girl who is also quite the livewire. Energetic and playful, she adores her toys and doing the usual kitten things like exploring and zoomies. Then it might be a spot of hanging out with the resident dog and then it's time for a long sound sleep in her hammock.
Elsa is deaf so how she navigates and responds to her surroundings is slightly different to other kitties but also pretty much the same. Despite her deafness she is confident once she knows the lay of the land, and that doesn't take long. Elsa needs to be kept strictly indoors and have an owner that understands her communication requirements are a little different. If an apartment the balcony would need to be fully enclosed and cat safe. See catnets.com.au for further info on this.
Elsa would suit a home with couples, singles, older children. She is comfortable around well-behaved dogs and other cats. If you would like to meet Elsa or to enquire further, please phone or fill out our adoption expression of interest form.
Medical notes
Given that Elsa is deaf, this means she can be a little uncertain at times with her surroundings if something changes suddenly but this is very brief until she figures it out or gets a gentle reorientation or reminder. Her other senses are spot on. Despite her deafness she manages to get around like a full sighted kitten and is unafraid of her surroundings and people if she feels safe.
Adoption details
All our cats and kittens have been rescued from various situations, and are living in foster care around Sydney. The animals are vet checked, healthy, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (1st, 2nd or fully vaccinated depending upon when rescued and age), flea and worm treated and kitty litter trained. Kittens are usually adopted from 8 weeks of age. With any kittens adopted, follow up desexing is organised by us including transport to and from the vet clinic. We charge a nominal adoption fee to help cover our costs and to assist other cats and kittens in need. People are welcome to meet the cats and kittens if interested. A 4 week trial adoption period applies on all adoptions and phone and/or visiting support is available during this period.
