Hi, I’m Rocco 👋
I’m a very sweet and affectionate Border Collie mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. I found myself lost and alone in the pound, but thanks to ARK, I was given a second chance and the opportunity to feel safe, loved, and cared for again.

Sometimes I can be a little too keen and a bit pawsy—but that’s only because I’m making up for lost time and absolutely adore attention. I listen quite well, especially if a scratch or a treat is involved, and I’m eager to please. I can get a little anxious or over-excited at times, but a cuddle always helps me settle.

I’m still learning my house manners and may have the occasional accident, though I’m learning quickly. I sleep in my own bed all night and settle well during family dinner time, although I sometimes need a gentle reminder to stay focused.

As I’m working hard on gaining weight, I can be a little cheeky—especially around unsuspecting kids—but I respond really well to consistent, kind, and firm boundaries. I’ll need a secure yard, as I do enjoy exploring if I find a gap. That said, I love my indoor time just as much and am happiest relaxing on the floor or snuggled on the couch enjoying a good head massage, as long as I’m close to my people.

I would suit a family with kids and/or another dog who can match my young, active energy because I love to play. I’d also be just as happy as a doting sidekick for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick close by your side.

Thanks to ARK, my future is full of hope — now I’m just waiting for my forever home 💙🐾
