About Selene
✨ Meet Selene Mumma Cat Extraordinaire ✨
Selene has done what so many quiet heroes do in rescue, she raised her babies with strength, patience, and instinct. Now that her kittens are growing into their own lives, it’s finally Selene’s turn to be seen, supported, and cherished.
Selene is a gentle soul who is still learning what safety really feels like. She’s discovering that food arrives every morning and night, that there’s enough for everyone, and that she no longer has to be on guard to survive. Each day, you can see her shoulders soften just a little more as trust slowly replaces uncertainty.
Selene has clearly been through a lot, even if she can’t tell us her story. She may flinch if movements are too fast or if hands come toward her body unexpectedly. Full-body pats are something she’s still learning to accept, but head scratches? Those she loves. With consistency, reassurance, and respect, she’s slowly discovering that hands can bring comfort, not fear.
Because Selene is still on this journey, she would thrive in a calm home, ideally with no young children, or with older kids or teenagers who can respect her boundaries and move gently around her. She is okay with other cats, but introductions need to be thoughtful and monitored. To Selene, other cats once meant competition for food, not friendship and she needs time and patience to learn that companionship can be safe and kind. Selene needs some who understands the 3-3-3 rescue rule and then she would be loyal and love you furever.
💛 Selene is looking for someone who understands that love doesn’t always arrive loudly. Someone who will honour her quirks, move at her pace, and gently encourage her to trust again. 💛
