We have lowered his adoption fee to $50 to help him find a home! So far we are not having much luck for this misunderstood boy.

Some cats don't run up to strangers asking for cuddles. Some cats need time and wait, hoping someone will see past their fear and that's Joe.

He is a totally friendly little cat who will want to sleep with you, snuggle on the couch, follow you and give head boops. Sadly, it just takes him time to get to this level of trust.

Joe had a difficult start to life and we don't think people have always been kind to him. Because of this, he is nervous when first meeting new people. Once he feels safe he is so sweet and affectionate.

He is sweet, friendly, and so deserving of someone who will let him settle in at his own pace. We just need someone who can look past the initial hisses and give him the time he needs to feel safe and show love.

Joe would make a wonderful companion and can happily be adopted as an only cat, where he can soak up all the love and attention. He would also the fine with a calm, cat-social friend.

He is looking for a peaceful home without dogs or young children, just a patient, gentle person who understands that trust is earned, not rushed.
