About Trick - 10 Year Old Mini Foxy
Trick is a 10 year old Mini Fox Terrier and weighs in at just 3.4kg.
Although he is very timid and nervous initially, he is a lovely gentle, beautiful natured boy, who relishes in following you around all day and being involved in all activities. He thrives on affection and positive gentle conversation. He is a quiet little man even though his foster siblings are trying their best to teach him to bark when visitors arrive.
He happily shares his foster home with a larger female dog and regular visits from a female Border Collie. He is happy to greet other dogs on walks and will patiently sit on your lap as you enjoy a social outing at the coffee shop.
Trick is strictly an indoor dog and will dive onto your lap at every chance he gets. He has access to outdoors at all times and is house trained, however if he is feeling a bit stressed there may be a few mishaps. He has not yet learned the dog door flap (as it is more suited to the larger breeds). He has good recall and travels well in the car usually secured on the back seat hammock with the other dogs.
He is very good around his foster carers 2yr and 4yr old grandchildren when they visit, but may find living with young children a bit stressful.
He requires little upkeep other than keeping the toenails trimmed, the teeth cleaned and weekly brushing to remove loose hair. He enjoys a bath in my laundry tub.
Trick is going to need patience and understanding whilst settling into his new home. Therefore experience with rescue dogs would be beneficial but not essential. He will need time in his new surrounding in a calm space to decompress and observe his new environment.
Trick is in foster care in Valentine, Lake Macquarie, NSW. His adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas & worms, vet checked, teeth recently cleaned and microchipped.
