🐾 Jersey: The Kelpie Who Loves Belly Rubs and Quiet Days 🐾
Jersey is a gorgeous young Kelpie mix (mostly Kelpie, with a touch of Border Collie) looking for his forever home — and he’s ready to go now.
With his tan coat and soulful eyes, Jersey is an old soul who enjoys the simple things — quiet time, watching the world go by, and belly rubs. He loves to lie near the door during the day and will happily roll over for a pat as soon as you start talking to him.

Jersey has a slightly independent streak and appreciates the resident dogs respecting his space when he's relaxing or snoozing. Although he gets on well with other canines, he would be quite happy as an "only child", provided he receives plenty of human company and interaction.
If his needs for routine, affection and companionship are met, he’ll reward you with loyalty and love for the rest of his days.
Jersey also needs a reasonable amount of physical and mental stimulation and, as always, secure fencing to keep him safe.
If you’re looking for a gentle, steady presence with plenty of charm, Jersey could be your perfect match. 💛

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
