About Mia
đ¸ Meet Mia â A Gentle Soul Who Loves the Simple Things đ¸
Mia is a 7 year and 4 month old Bichon FrisĂŠ with the softest eyes and the sweetest, quiet presence.
An ex-breeding girl, Mia has come into care and is now ready to discover what life is really about â comfort, safety, and being loved for her.
Since joining the rescue, Mia has had all her necessary vet work completed, including desexing, and sheâs settled beautifully into home life.
Sheâs a calm, sedate little lady who prefers peaceful days over busy ones.
Her idea of a perfect afternoon is chasing the sun from one couch to another as it moves across the house, stopping only for a nap or two along the way.
Mia is mostly toilet trained, happily sleeps in her crate at night, and is wonderfully quiet around the home.
Sheâs not a barker, just gently letting you know if something catches her attention â and even then, sheâll stop as soon as you speak to her.
She enjoys the company of other small dogs and would be just as happy as an only dog in a calm home.
Mia is best suited to a household with adults or older children (12+), as she prefers a gentle, respectful environment where she can feel safe and unpressured.
Mia is not tested on cats.
Walks are still very new and a little scary for Mia â she wasnât taught how to enjoy them in her earlier life â so her future family will need patience and understanding as she learns at her own pace (or happily accepts that she may always prefer couch time over lead time).
At home, Miaâs personality truly shines. She adores her humans and loves to follow them around, âsupervisingâ yard work or curling up nearby while you relax.
One of her favourite pastimes is emptying the toy box â carefully pulling out every toy, spreading them across the couch, and choosing just the right one to play with. Some days, every toy makes an appearance.
Mia isnât food-motivated and takes her time with meals, but her real motivation is people.
She loves quiet companionship, resting her head on your lap when you get home, leaning into you for comfort, and making sure sheâs touching a human when she sleeps â even if itâs just a gentle lean.
Independent yet affectionate, gentle yet full of quiet love, Mia is the kind of dog who doesnât demand attention but fills your heart before you even realise it.
If youâre looking for a calm, sweet companion to share peaceful days and cosy nights, Mia may just be the little soul youâve been waiting for đđś

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period â this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
