Introducing Shnitz
Shnitz came into the AWL foster care program as a tiny neonatal baby and has been lovingly hand-raised by his dedicated foster carer. From those fragile early days to the confident little gentleman he is now, he’s truly been a special journey to watch.
Now it’s time for this sweet boy to spread his wings and find a home of his very own.
Shnitz is a calm, affectionate kitten who adores curling up on his foster mum’s lap for a nap. He’s also more than happy to entertain her with his kitten charms and playful antics. Whether it’s chasing a toy or inventing his own little games, Shnitz always finds a way to keep himself (and everyone around him) amused.
Dressed permanently in the smartest black and white tuxedo, this handsome boy is ready to impress. He will always be a cherished part of the AWL family, and we’re looking for a home that will treasure him just as much.

Shnitz is in foster care in Western Sydney – Penrith. Please complete the pre-adoption application under his profile, and if you’re the right match, one of our volunteers will be in touch to organise a meet & greet. 🐾
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
