About Odin! 🔱
Meet Odin 🐾
Odin is a striking 30kg 4-year-old German Shepherd who is patiently waiting for a home where he can finally settle in and belong. Like many shepherds, Odin is intelligent, people-focused, and thrives on companionship. He forms strong bonds with those who spend time with him and truly enjoys being involved in everyday life.
Odin is friendly and affectionate with people and loves attention, pats, and company. He can be vocal when he’s excited or seeking interaction, but once he’s had time to settle, he relaxes nicely and is happy doing his own thing. He enjoys enrichment, exploring new environments, and would benefit from a home that offers routine, structure, and mental stimulation.
On walks, Odin is a pleasure. He walks well on lead, doesn’t pull, and remains calm around distractions such as other dogs, birds, and people. He responds well to his handler, comes when called, and knows his basic sit. As a clever and capable breed, he will thrive with continued training and guidance.
Odin is comfortable being handled and is easy to care for, allowing full body handling, grooming, and vet checks. He is not food aggressive and takes treats gently. He enjoys his meals and is well mannered around food.
Odin must live in a suburban or residential home where he can feel secure and included as part of the family. He is not suitable for rural or farm environments. He may do well as an only dog or potentially with a female calm, desexed companion following appropriate introductions. A home with German Shepherd experience or owners willing to invest in training would be ideal. Not suited in a home with pocket pets, poultry, stock or cats.
This beautiful boy has so much loyalty and affection to offer the right home and will reward his adopters with devotion, companionship, and plenty of personality.
