About Mitzy
Mitzy is just a baby, still learning how the world works - and for her, it's a much scarier place than it should be. Born with an eye condition that limits her sight, everything comes at her a little louder, a little faster, and a lot more overwhelming.
In the shelter, Mitzy is terrified. The noise, the smells, the constant movement - it's simply too much for a tiny kitten who already has to work harder than most to feel safe. She isn't shut down because she's unfriendly; she's shut down because she's scared.
Underneath that fear is a gentle, sweet little soul who wants to trust. Mitzy is cautious by nature, and her limited vision means she needs extra time, patience, and kindness to understand her surroundings. She will need an adopter who truly gets it - someone who won't rush her, won't expect instant cuddles, and won't give up when progress comes in small, quiet steps.
Mitzy needs a calm, predictable home with an extremely understanding human who is ready to help her learn that the world can be safe again. With consistency, love, and compassion, she has the potential to grow in confidence and live a full, happy life - just on her own terms.
She has already survived so much. She has made it this far.
Please don't let the shelter be the end of Mitzy's story.
Be the person who shows her that even a scary world can still be a kind one.
Mitzy is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Mitzy - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
