About Peppercorn
Meet Peppercorn 🌶️
Peppercorn has come a long way since arriving into care, where she quickly earned the title of “Spiciest Kitten” in our end-of-year awards. True to her name, she’s still a little spicy and cautious at times, but she has made wonderful progress and is now letting her personality shine through.
Behind her unsure exterior is a sweet kitten who loves pats, toys, and treats. Peppercorn has started to come out of her shell more each day and will often run over the moment she hears the sound of her favourite toy. Playtime is one of her favourite ways to build confidence, and she’s quite energetic, enjoying chasing, pouncing, and exploring.
She’s also discovered the joys of comfort and routine. At bedtime, Peppercorn happily jumps up onto the bed and will stay snuggled there with her sisters right through until breakfast time. Mealtimes are handled with patience, as she waits calmly while food is prepared.
Peppercorn enjoys spending time on the cat tree, where she can play or curl up for a nap, often wearing a relaxed little expression that looks like a tiny smile while she plays.
She’s the second most confident of her sisters and continues to grow braver with love and consistency. Peppercorn would thrive in a forever home that can offer patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of affection to keep building her trust. With the right family, she will continue to blossom into the playful, carefree, and loving kitten she’s already showing herself to be.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.
We appreciate your understanding.

Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
Thank you for helping us give these kittens the loving, social homes they deserve!
