About Finn and Sammy
Finn and Sammy require the following in the new homes.
- No other animals living in the home.
- Patience and gentle guidance with new experiences and people.
- To have the option of being inside when their people are home and to sleep over night.
- Some basic training.
- No other animals in the home.
Finn and Sammy are best buddies. They love to wrestle with each other, attack the cushions on the couch and chase each other zoomies-style around the house. They both love to lie in the sun and to snuggle on the couch. Finn likes to run after the tennis ball (but hasn't mastered bringing it back yet) and chew squeaky toys and teddies, while Sam loves to chew sticks and bully sticks as well as toilet rolls! After all there fun they both love to lie in the sun and to snuggle on the couch for the rest time.
They are cautious around new people and nervous of all new things and need to be given time and gentle encouragement until they are comfortable. They have met kids older than 12 and were patient and accepting.
Fin and Sammy tend to get car sick when they travel longer than 10 or so minutes. They are still learning to walk on the lead and basic commands like 'sit' etc. They will need consistency and some basic reward base training. They have learned how to use the doggy door and take themselves out for the toilet. They are both great learners!
Fin and Sammy sleep in their beds, outside in the sun or on the floor (on hot days) during the day, at night they sleep next to me, Sam snores VERY loudly!
Fin and Sammy haven't had much exposure to other animals, they will try and chase cats and can react at larger wildlife animals they may see out walking, when meeting other dogs they are reserved and careful.
Finn and Sammy will alert bark when in the yard and bark at cars, and neighbours, but they respond well when they are told to stop.
Since the boys have been with their foster carer they have REALY come out of their shells, they seem to have lived a sheltered life and Finn is a little more anxious than Sammy but they are both brave and keen to learn but they will need slow gentle exposure to new experiences.
They truly would make exceptional members to a family where people are around a lot and have patience to help these young guys really bloom.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
