About Hera
Name: Hera
Female
AMK 4879
DOB 30.1.24
Hera is a beautiful, gentle Mumma cat who came into care with her three kittens (one of whom has already found their forever home). She was originally a stray living on a farm, where a kind neighbour was feeding her.
When Hera first arrived in foster care, she was very shy and frightened. She spent a long time hiding, only venturing out quietly at night once the humans were asleep. She quickly made friends with the other cats in her foster home.
As her confidence has grown, her true affectionate personality has started to shine. Once she knows and trusts you, she loves pats and chin scratches and shows her affection by gently licking your hands. She is a quiet, gentle girl who craves love and attention in her own soft, careful way.
When she feels safe, Hera is a happy and content little cat who enjoys relaxing in comfy spots and watching the world go by. She especially loves spending time in her secure outdoor enclosure, soaking up the sunshine and listening to the sounds of nature.
Hera does not yet like being picked up and can be startled by sudden movements or loud, unexpected activity, but she is learning that being picked up is not such a bad thing after all. Once she is in your arms, she stays calm and does not struggle — she has learned that it usually just means being taken to the enclosure or back inside for treats.
She is a wonderful, devoted mother who still shows care and gentleness toward her babies even though they are grown.
Hera would thrive in a calm, patient home with people who understand shy cats and will give her the time and space she needs to continue building confidence. Ideally, she would be adopted together with one of her kittens, as this gives her comfort and helps her feel safer and more confident in a new home. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a sweet, affectionate, loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart.
Her adoption fee is $100. This includes all of her vet work through our supporting vet, Redlynch Valley Vet. Her vet work is complete and up to date.
