About Salem
Meet Salem, an incredibly brave little fighter with the softest soul. 🖤
Salem has already been through more in his short life than any kitten should. Rescued as skin and bones at 4 weeks old with his 4 siblings, two of which since passed away, and a terrible accident in foster care where he was accidentally stepped on in which Salem ended up needing emergency veterinary treatment.
What was first thought to be a tail injury turned out to be far more serious. Salem was quiet, hiding, not eating, and clearly in pain.
At the vet, it was discovered that Salem’s tiny mouth had been injured and his chin was de-gloved, meaning the skin and flesh had detached from the bone. This poor little mite, weighing just 1 kilo, had to undergo delicate surgery under anaesthetic, something vets try to avoid with kittens so small.
Despite it all, Salem showed just how strong he is. With pain relief, he began eating again, and after careful surgery and weeks of dedicated nursing, rest, and love, Salem has healed beautifully. ❤️🩹
Now, this once-fragile kitten is ready to start the next chapter of his life. One filled with safety, kindness, and endless cuddles. Salem is a gentle, sweet-natured boy who deserves a home that will cherish him and never take a moment with him for granted.
If you’re looking for a kitten who has known hardship but still meets the world with trust and love and will follow you around like a little shadow, Salem may be your perfect match.
