Kipper

Kipper arrived with everything to give, and nothing just for herself.
She came in as a mum - scared, uncertain, but devoted - raising her babies in a place that was never meant to be home. One by one, her kittens grew, blossomed, and left for their new beginnings. And Kipper stayed behind.

Kipper is a gentle, frightened soul who has learned that the world can be overwhelming. She prefers all four paws firmly on the floor, keeping a safe distance while she works out whether it's okay to trust. She doesn't rush affection - she earns it slowly, carefully, one brave step at a time.

During her time in foster care, we were finally able to see who Kipper really is beneath the fear. Her foster carer shared:

"She is happy to stay indoors and is gentle.
The second day she ate while I was in the room, and the third day she accepted discreet pats while eating.
She can be a chatty cat and purrs loudly for a long time."

As she settled, she found her voice. She chats softly. She purrs deeply and for a long time when she feels safe enough. And yet, when given access to the whole house, she retreats again, hiding away except at mealtimes - not because she doesn't care, but because confidence is something she's still learning how to hold onto.

She is content indoors, polite and sweet, with simple preferences (especially her dry food). She just needs time. Time to believe she's allowed to be someone's priority now - not just the mum who stayed strong so her babies could leave.

Kipper has watched everyone else walk out the door into their new lives.
She deserves to know what that feels like too.
