About Eeyore
Introducing Eeyore! This lovely five year old male kitty came to us via our ambulance team. Eeyore had been sadly caught in a trap and had sustained some wounds, but was fairly quickly treated by our medical team. Understandably he was a little timid and flighty on first arrival and still has some touch avoidance around his face. Nevertheless, Eeyore leans in for affection and will solicit affection in turn. While he's really come out of his shell, he'll still hide away in a secure spot during the busier times of the day at the Centre. So, Eeyore will need to be started in a small launch room when he first arrives home. Being a food lover is a sure way to his heart so that is a good strategy for building his confidence and connection. We recommend scratch posts/cat trees and hide places like cardboard boxes and cat igloos for him, as well as high and low places to investigate. An understanding and patient adopter is Eeyore's ideal and will be rewarded in the long run as this little guy is a keeper. Older children who understand cat body language rather than littlies is recommended. While Eeyore has been untested with other cats, he does not seem to be phased by other felines around him. And he may do okay with a calm social dog as long as the interactions are monitored. With all that said, Eeyore would make a fine feline friend for a loving family.
