About Goose
Goose is a male Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Alexandria (Sydney, New South Wales).
Goose is a calm, affectionate companion who forms a deep bond with his people. Gentle, loyal and wonderfully easy to live with, he’s happiest simply being nearby — following you from room to room, settling beside you on the couch and quietly sharing in your day.
He brings a soft, comforting presence into the home and thrives in peaceful environments.
Goose would suit a calm home where someone is home more often than not, with no other pets and access to a secure, enclosed outdoor space, allowing him to safely enjoy fresh air while remaining protected.
A little about Goose:
🐾 Affectionate and people-focused
🐾 Calm, gentle and low-maintenance
🐾 Loves being close and following his person
🐾 Best suited as the only pet
🐾 Ideal for indoor living with secure outdoor access
With familiar people, Goose is deeply affectionate. He will follow you around the house, sit beside you and happily snuggle up when you’re resting.
He loves head scratches and will gently push his head into your hand to ask for pats. Whether you’re on the couch, in bed or moving around the kitchen, Goose prefers to stay close and connected.
With unfamiliar people, Goose takes a gentle, thoughtful approach. He feels more confident when his trusted person is nearby and will often relax in the same space, gradually warming up and approaching for pats when he feels comfortable.
He prefers being the only pet, where he can fully relax and enjoy one-on-one companionship with his people.
Goose is living with FIV and will thrive in an indoor home with access to a secure outdoor space. With the right environment, he can continue to live a long, comfortable and happy life.
He is also maintained on a prescription diet to support his urinary health, which helps keep him feeling his best.
His daily rhythm is calm and predictable.
He spends much of the day napping, occasionally exploring his surroundings or enjoying time on an enclosed balcony.
He is very in tune with his feeding routine and will happily remind you when it’s time to eat.
When you’re home, Goose will almost always choose to be nearby — sitting beside you, stretching out on the couch or settling close while you go about your day.
Life with Goose feels quiet, steady and comforting.
Mornings may begin with a soft greeting and breakfast.
Afternoons are peaceful, with naps and gentle companionship.
Evenings often end with Goose curled up nearby, content just to be close.
For someone looking for a calm, affectionate companion who offers steady presence and quiet connection, Goose will be a deeply rewarding addition to the home.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
