About Freya
Penelope is a 10-month-old "teenage" pup who has recently found herself back on the dating scene after being surrendered by her family. Much like a human teenager, she's sweet, a little dramatic, full of opinions, and currently experimenting with selective listening.
This bouncy girl is all legs, enthusiasm and unfiltered joy. Penelope wakes up every day ready to party, bounce, zoom, and then bounce some more. She's goofy, affectionate, and will absolutely make you laugh with her over-the-top antics and expressive face.
Because she's still in her teenage phase, Penelope is testing boundaries and learning what's acceptable (and what's apparently not, according to humans). She'll thrive with a family who understands that this stage comes with energy, cheekiness, and a strong need for guidance, routine and positive training.
Penelope could live with another well-matched dog and would actually love to have a polite canine role model to show her the ropes, someone to demonstrate that we don't body-slam for attention and that sitting politely sometimes gets snacks faster.
Due to her size, enthusiasm and bouncy nature, Penelope needs a home with secondary school-aged kids or adults only. Little kids are just a bit too unpredictable for a teenager who still thinks everyone wants to wrestle.
Penelope's ideal home includes:
A sense of humour
Time and commitment for training (teenagers need structure!)
Plenty of exercise and enrichment
Secondary school-aged kids and above
A well-matched dog friend would be a bonus
If you're ready for a hilarious, high-energy companion who will keep life interesting and reward your patience with endless love, Penelope might just be your perfect match.
Adopt a teenager-they grow up eventually ... we promise.
